Sue Biedlingmaier has been named as the Director of Mission Support for Downriver Vicariate Family 3: St. Cyprian, Riverview, St. Joseph, Trenton, Our Lady of the Woods, Woodhaven, Sacred Heart, Grosse Ile, St. Roch, Flat Rock and St. Timothy, Trenton.

The music ministry at Sacred Heart welcomes and invites anyone with a love of music and a desire to worship in song to join one or more of our many liturgical music ensembles.

For many Catholics who have believed that the FEELING of anger in itself constitutes sinfulness, it will take time to develop a sincere belief that the FEELING of anger is a normal human emotion. It is not the FEELING of anger that is wrong, but the hurtful or sinful behavior that might come from it.

Our “World Marriage Day” anniversary will be celebrated on May 30th on Most Holy Trinity Sunday. Hopefully some of the COVID restrictions will be lifted and we will be able to have a luncheon after the 11:00 a.m. Mass.

The St. Mother Teresa/Fr. McGivney Scholarship was created by the Sacred Heart parish community in 1997 to commemorate the life and work of Mother Teresa. Blessed Fr. McGivney was added in 2018. This scholarship will recognize the high school senior in the parish who most aspires to the values of Saint Mother Teresa and Blessed Fr. McGivney. This will be awarded as a one-time grant.
