The RCIA is the process by which people become members of the Catholic Church. Also known as the Catechumenate, it is a journey of faith, a process of growth and conversion that takes place through the proclamation of the Gospel, teaching of Catholic doctrine, and a gradual introduction to the customs and practices of the Catholic life. This gradual development culminates in the celebration of the initiation sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist at Easter.
Any non-Catholic baptized in a Christian denomination but would like to learn about the Roman Catholic faith.
Any baptized Catholic, not raised in the faith, who has not received the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist or Confirmation, but now seeks to become a practicing Catholic.
Those Who Should Attend the Classes are the Catholics Who Desire to Complete their Initiation Sacraments:
Any baptized, practicing Catholic (attends Mass and receives the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist regularly), but has not received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Anyone who seeks a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith

In October, in addition to the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program, the Religious Formation Department will offer a class for teens in grades 9th through 12th who have received the sacraments of Baptism and First Eucharist, but have not been confirmed. Committing to this process will consist of class time, family catechesis, service, and a retreat.
If you or someone you know may like more detailed information, please contact the Parish Office. Students who are seriously interested are encouraged to attend with parents. Session schedules will depend on the number of participants and availability of classrooms.
